About Lachlan

Currently

At 20, Lachlan is a part-time driver coach devoted to guiding young karting drivers in the UAE. Grateful for those who’ve supported him, he believes in giving back by sharing his skills and experience. His motorsport journey has been fully funded by his parents, who have made sacrifices to support his ambitions.

Lachlan’s goal has always been to race at the highest level while residing in the UAE. With his dedication and talent, his plans to compete in the 2024 German ADAC GT4 Championship and ultimately in GT and Endurance racing, including the iconic Le Mans 24 Hours, seem well within reach.

2005

Lachlan moves to the UAE at 17 months old with his family.

2012

Begins karting at age 11 after a birthday event at Dubai Kartdrome

In the following years, he trains and hones his racing skills in the UAE

2017

Lachlan debuts at the IAME International Final in Le Mans, France, securing Pole Position out of 133 junior drivers and finishing 7th in the final.

2018

After a challenging qualifying session, Lachlan starts heats from 87th place. Through impressive skill and determination, he climbs to 12th in the pre-final and ultimately finishes 7th in the final, matching his prior year’s result

Across 7 heats, pre-final, and final in 2018, Lachlan executes over 120 overtakes, achieving one of the best comebacks in the event's history

2019

Lachlan advances to the senior karting category, winning the UAE ROTAX MAX Championship in his debut season

Competes at the ROTAX INTERNATIONAL TROPHY in Le Mans, securing a top 10 finish

Represents the UAE at the ROTAX GRAND FINALS in Italy, achieving top 5 finishes in heats, 3rd in the pre-final, and finishes 5th in the final, marking his highest international ranking and as the top UAE driver

2020

Lachlan competes in the Rotax Euro Max Challenge series, balancing school in the UAE with international travel despite Covid restrictions. His dedication pays off as he becomes the first UAE-based driver to secure a podium finish in the series

In the same year, Lachlan achieves another historic podium finish, marking him as the first UAE driver to do so in this championship

2021

Lachlan secures another podium finish in a European championship, becoming the first UAE-based driver to achieve back-to-back podiums in European karting

2022

Lachlan prepares to shift focus to GT racing, though funding delays prevent an immediate move

2023

Lachlan’s GT aspirations materialize as he is invited to test a Lamborghini in Misano, Italy, followed by a test with Mucke Motorsport in a BWT Mercedes GT4 in Prague, Czech Republic

Lachlan, after excelling in testing, is invited to compete in the final two rounds of the German ADAC GT4 Championship, becoming the first Australian to race in this series, held alongside the DTM Championship

His strong debut performances on iconic German circuits, including the Nürburgring, earn him recognition and multiple team offers for the 2024 season in the ADAC GT4 Championship
